Just Desserts
This is one of our signature desserts. It's creamy and smooth texture will just easily slide down your throat. Your family and guests will be raving and singing your praises. Plus the fact that it’s chocolate, well they will be forever grateful for reminding them that chocolate is good for them. This signature chocolate strawberry mousse recipe is delicious to make and to eat. You can place the velvety mousse in decorative glassware and garnish with fresh strawberries, a few leaves from the Stevia plant or some mint leaves. Your cast of characters are semi-sweet chocolate pieces, fresh strawberries, heavy cream, sugar, egg yolks, egg whites, pinch of salt, dash of Grand Mariner orange juice. For garnish a few leaves from the Stevia plant, a few extra strawberries, and confectioner’s sugar. Slowly melt chocolate in double boiler. While chocolate is melting wash, hull and slice strawberries into pieces. Blend in food processor until smooth. After chocolate has melted, cool. Blend in egg yolk. Beat heavy cream, adding sugar gradually until stiff. Mix egg white and pinch of salt until stiff peaks are formed. Blend strawberries, stiff heavy cream into chocolate mixture. Add drops of Grand Marnier or orange juice. Blend. Proceed to fold in egg white. When totally blended, pour into decorative glassware. Refrigerate the mousse for a couple of hours. Before serving decorate with either sifting of confectioner’s sugar, strawberries, Stevia leaves, or mint leaves. What goes better with chocolate than strawberries? Yummy!
